Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to lift the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks can not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater control and lift is needed.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which enable the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It comes with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet forklift would usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This kind of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A man basket is a lift platform meant specially to hoist workers. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
