Change an LPG Cylinder
There are different types of sources which can power forklifts. They can run utilizing gasoline, LP gas or liquid propane, battery or diesel. LP is a clean burning fuel preferred for many applications. There are various facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled anytime they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders that can be changed out when the machinery must be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you should truly be careful so as to avoid possible serious injuries. Like for example: be certain to wear the correct safety equipment like heavy gloves, safety glasses or goggles. Turn off the forklift ignition before changing out the tank. Next, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is securely closed. Utilize your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Remember that it will turn in the opposite direction of a standard connection and never use a metal tool or any kind of wrench on these connections. They are meant to be tightened only by using the hand.
