Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Rider or Walkie is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized version of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to allow the operator to walk along the machinery while they lift and transport loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are great for frequent transporting of cargo over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are extremely maneuverable and fast.
It is important to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and therefore, it is not recommended to move tall or unstable loads using these machinery. A rider can be the perfect answer if you are looking for an inexpensive way of transporting cargo from one location to another. If though, you are required to move heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the best choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece equipment made specially for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks attached to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle that can work in smaller aisles. They are really useful pieces of machinery during cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more popular.
